A sunny June morning brought us to our old friends, the S & P Railway Club. We set up a 24′ layout with modules provided by the Hylands, Leon, Dave Clyde and Cliff’s 2 new 1 footers; one with a very interesting point of view – out the windows of an abandoned warehouse. I think I’ll steal it.
The subplot of the day was re-crowning Sykesville as pickle capital…after a long winter’s drought the pickles were back in force. Train traffic was pretty light, although there was an ethanol train and an oil train both and had foreign/lease power.
We set up early, took down early and a quick stop at Fat Tony’s for some dinner to take home…all made for a great time.
